biography

Guitarist Steve Adams has been performing in the Northwest for over twenty years. His embrace of eclectic styles has enabled him to successfully perform and record in varying genres such as Jazz, Classical, Rock, Folk, and Country. He has released four albums available under the artist name “ARZ,” an experimental project exploring guitar timbres and techniques.

Steve has performed concerts at Evan’s Auditorium, The Old Church, the Community Music Center as well as clubs, restaurants, corporate events, dinner parties, receptions, benefits, etc. He has also appeared on OPB’s Oregon Art Beat and was heard on National Public Radio’s All Things Considered supporting violinist Chien Tan. Steve is also the guitarist for Ramble On, a Led Zeppelin tribute band.

As an educator Steve has taught at Bolton Music Studio and privately at Lewis & Clark College. He currently teaches at Portland Community College, the Community Music Center (Portland Parks & Recreation), and his private studio in Portland, Oregon.
